Two decisions do most of the work. The first is fabric or leather: fabric is warmer to sit on, comes in 70 colours and can be made to your own size, while leather wipes clean in seconds and copes better with children and pets. The fabric library covers the first properly.
The second is whether it fits, and it is the one people skip. Almost every delivery that goes wrong goes wrong at the front door rather than in the room, and almost all of those were preventable with a tape measure. The size guide has a calculator for exactly this.
