Choosing a mattress

The quickest way to choose is by how you like a bed to feel. Memory foam moulds around you and takes pressure off the hips and shoulders. Orthopaedic foam is firm and even, for anyone who wants to be held up rather than sink in. Pocket sprung mattresses use individually wrapped springs that move on their own - the more springs, the closer the support and the less you feel a partner turning over.

Every mattress comes in five UK sizes, from a 3ft single to a 6ft super king, and the price is on each size. If you are buying one of our beds, choose the bed set there instead: it comes with a mattress, and upgrading it on the bed costs less than buying a second one on its own.

Delivery is free to most of the UK, and you pay in cash or by bank transfer when it arrives. Most of the UK gets delivery in 2–4 days, and Devon, Cornwall, the Aberdeen area and the north of Scotland in 5–7 days. We deliver Tuesday to Sunday, not on Mondays.
